Not necessarily books with huge dramatic plot twists or nonstop tragedy. I mean the kind of books that slowly destroy you emotionally without you even realizing it at first. The ones where you finish the last page and just sit there staring at the wall for a while. Books that feel deeply human, lonely, nostalgic bittersweet or painfully realistic
Some books that gave me that feeling were A Little Life, The Song of Achilles and Never Let Me Go. Would love more recommendations that leave that same emotional emptiness afterward
