What spy thriller or political thriller books are there where the Americans lose and die and their adversaries triumph?
There's this book I'm currently reading called In the blood by Jack Carr. It has the SVR, Mossad and CIA and is genuinely good. Only thing that bugs me is that the mc, James Reece, the American, evades multiple attempts on his life by the Russians and ends up defeating them. But the book does end with his arrest on suspicion of killing the US president. I just wish that the book ended with the Russians succeeding in killing him
