Books for someone who wants to get more into books

I've started to appreciate books a lot more now and I've been wanting to read more books. First it started from one book a month to eventually one book in two weeks. Anything past that would be great.

The thing is, I'm still rather new to book-reading but I do quite enjoy them. I know I like sci-fi and fantasy the most. But I would ideally like to read all genres even though I think romance would be my least favorite. The reason I set my goal to two weeks (maybe I'll do a week instead) is since I still have a bad habit of putting off a book for other stuff but I know I can hit the "a book a week/two weeks" goal, since I've read other books in 2-3 hours.

So far I've read Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy and I'm currently reading Dune. But what do you think would be good for someone who wants to really sink their teeth into some books? What kind of books got you hooked into reading?
