My dad passed away a week ago unexpectedly and I’m feeling pretty flat. On the go at the moment are Things In Nature Merely Grow, One Of Us: The story of Anders Breivik, and The Hundred Years’ War On Palestine – so as you can see I could use some balancing humour…
I don’t mind fiction or non fiction.
Ones that have made me laugh before:
– A Walk In The Woods
– Sorrow And Bliss (also made me cry)
– Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things
– Anne Of Green Gables
– All Creatures Great And Small
… apparently not many. Send me your funniest! 🙏🏻

Let’s pretend this never happened.
Either graphic novel by Ali broscht (i probably spelled that wrong) but hyperbole and a half was my favorite
Try the books by PG Wodehouse
Start with World of Jeeves, then all of Wooster and Jeeves novels
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams
Discworld series by Terry Pratchett
Orconomics by Zachary Pike (Dark Profit Saga)
Kill The Farmboy by Delilah Dawson and Kevin Hearne ( Tales of Pell series)
Dwarf Bounty Hunter by Martha Carr makes me Snort laugh
Especially when the dogs start in (i won’t say more, but its funny)
Any of the other Bill Bryson books – esp. ‘The Lost Continent’ and ‘Notes From a Small Island’
So it’s a middle grade fiction book about a school shooting survivor and thus has some brief sad/serious moments, but the humor in Simon Sort of Says by Erin Bow made me laugh out loud more than most books.
Three Men in a Boat, To say Nothing of the Dog by Jerome K Jerome
the humans by matt haig. one of my favourites. funny as hell but also very profound.
