I’m looking for contemporary fiction novels that completely stayed in your head after you finished them — the kind that make you sit there for a while thinking about it, wanting to immediately talk to someone about the ending, themes, characters, or overall experience.
Not necessarily “sad” books or books with major character deaths. I’m not looking to be emotionally destroyed 😅 Just something memorable, immersive, thought-provoking, beautifully written, or emotionally impactful in a way that lingers.
Would especially love books published in more recent years rather than classics/older novels.
What’s the last book you read that gave you that feeling?
