Fiction or nonfiction. Set in the past, present, or future. (Or even alternate timeline!) It can be about one True Believer who cottons on by themselves or multiple people who piece it together as a group. Their indoctrination can be anything— religious, political, social, etc. Cults, misogyny, racism, economic systems… anything goes! I’m looking for books about people who are “deprogrammed” as they realize their worldview is based on lies.
Any and all recommendations welcome! Thanks 🙂
