Im looking for some books similar in concept to Maze Runner; There is a major closed location where characters have to run through multiple times and grow more capable each run. Id prefer a survival lean, rather than exponential growth seen in Progression Fantasy and Isekai.

I'm looking for the thrill and tension of navigating a trial over and over, and fearing for the character's progress and sanity. Id prefer at least some supernatural elements, such as zombies.
Books I've enjoyed are Dungeon Crawler Carl, Shadow Slave, Return of the Runebound Professor
Manga like Mad, Witch Hat Atelier and Bugle Call.
