Hello kind Redditors, I’m back at my summer job at a park and there’s not much connection or internet and it drains my battery just trying to see messages. I want to read more books but feel stumped as to what to read.
I’m mainly looking for books that could be fantasy and have romance to fill the void a bit, but nothing too cheesy or smutty . But I’m also fine with just more fictional books in general that are an easier read. I wouldn’t mind some good books overall that aren’t romance or fantasy but don’t think I should try to read the classics yet, I haven’t read much in a while.
There was this series in high school I loved called The Rot and Ruin series by Jonathan Mayberry and I saw he had another series called Kagen the Damned but I want to see about other books in general not just author exclusive. I just finished The North Wind by Alexandria Warwick and liked it a lot more than I was expecting, though I don’t think I want all the books I have to be just like it.
I’d prefer fictions books definitely, I don’t want to read any memoirs, but I don’t want to start trying to read Lord of the Rings when at work (it’s on my list).
TLDR: looking for good easy to read books at my summer job that are fiction, do want some romance to fill the void but not super cheesy or super smutty. Don’t want to read the classics yet because I don’t want to do that at work where I’ll be interrupted a bit. (Too tired to read when I get home) Easy, light reads that won’t tear my soul into pieces basically.
(Apologies in advance for grammar and spelling, I am experiencing a caffeine crash)
