Hello! I'm looking for some good, female-led, thought provoking books that make me feel something. Ideally set in the 21st century, relatable, romantic (or based around a romantic/sexual relationship) and will leave me thinking about it for days after. I'm in my mid-twenties and finding myself still 🙂
I just finished Acts of Desperation by Megan Nolan after it was recommended in this sub for fans of Sally Rooney's Normal People, and loved it.
I'm considering Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Grabrielle Zevin so if you've read those, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Some other books I loved: In Five Years by Rebecca Serle, Verity by Colleen Hoover, A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, and My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh.
What are books that made you go, "I need to talk to someone about this right now"?
