Hi! I don’t really read books because I usually prefer watching shows or movies, but I really want to start reading now. Do you guys have any book recommendations?
I’m looking for something that’s genuinely really good and interesting — the kind of book that keeps you hooked the whole time. I’d especially love fantasy recommendations with a great story and world-building, but honestly any genre is fine as long as it’s worth reading.
If it has romance, I’d prefer something that isn’t too cheesy or cringe. I just want a book that will actually make me enjoy reading and want to continue.

My favourite modern fantasy world building is in The Fifth Season. Try not to read about it too much in advance because of spoilers, the gradual unfolding of how the world works is a big part of the fun. Happy to answer any questions you have about it in a non spoilerey way! It’s pretty dark at maybe one notch above game of thrones sort of level, so if you’re looking for something lighter it might not be the best. I’d call it a medium difficulty read, so probably attainable if you’re comfortable with reading just not full books yet.
for me particularly it was : The Alchemist, I think this is super beginner friendly and actually make you curious about the story after some 15-20 pages and story is linear and easy to follow, this book got me into reading as well besides even non fiction can sometime really be good way to start as “Free Will by sam harris” was great book for me particularly because i kind of already was in the author side of the debate, whole book was interesting to me as this was also some of my first read but then problem with non-fiction is you gotta find personalised best for you and there are gonna be lot’s of unfinished books so starts with fictions and any topic that might interest you. Just visit a book store, look into them for hours you’ll deff find something interesting you can even do that online.
