Paperback or hardcover which do you prefer for your books? Hardcover makes the book more resilient to time and paperback makes the book lighter in weight and easier to carry, easier to move from place to place and in a bag, yet it get damaged more easily. I don't see much advantage for a hardcover and prefer a paperback.

I prefer hardcover both for shelf and reading. Paperbakcs are too floppy.
Paperback. Not only do I find them more comfortable, I absolutely hate dust jackets
Hardbacks look nice, but they’re harder to hold. I definitely prefer paperbacks.
Hardback to keep long-term. Paperback for my everyday reading as who can afford to buy every book hardback?!
I prefer a paperback! I like being cozy with my books!
I’ll buy fancy hard covers of books I’ve read digitally for my shelf.
I would love to have more physical books of either format but books be pricy
