For Lolz, the only writers that have made me laugh out loud have been Mark Twain and PG Wodehouse. I’d recommend any of the Jeeves/Wooster books if you’re starting with Wodehouse.
For crying, the House of Mirth always leaves me a sobby mess.

I really liked The Road to Tender Hearts by Annie Hartnett

Many of Carl Hiassen’s books are laugh-out-loud funny. He’s been writing about crazy s**t in Flori-duh for over 30 years.
My favorites are Tourist Season, Lucky You, Sick Puppy and Stormy Weather.
