Hi! I am looking for recs on books that have a similar vibe to the 1850s part of Yesteryear and the Little House on the Prairie but for adults.
I’ve read some by Willa Cather and Blood Meridian seems too violent. I see those recs a lot but I’m looking for a modern retelling? I’m not sure I can’t really find what I’m looking for.
I would like a woman POV from the American Western / Frontier but from a more modern writer. I also read East of Eden which isn’t the same vibe as I’m going for- but I did really enjoy the time period of that book as well.
