Looking for a new book after reading Mariana Enriquez’s Our Share of Night. I’d love something with somewhat similar vibes

By similar vibes, I don’t necessarily mean like the plots are similar. Although I do like the cult/occult tropes in Our Share of Night.

What I’m looking for are books that combine themes of suffering and resilience and the moral contradictions of human nature with an element of some supernatural or metaphysical force. Similar narratives that remind me of this:

– Alan Wake 2 (video game)
– Twin Peaks
– Blood Meridian by Cormac Mccarthy
– Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer
– Long Legs (Movie; mostly for the vibes instead of the themes though)
– The Passenger by Cormac Mccarthy

I hope that makes sense. Another thing that some of these narratives have in common (to me) is this overarching feeling of cosmic dread that acts a backdrop to some kind of mystery.
