So I recently watched Project Hail Mary, which snowballed into me finishing the book in three days. I’m currently reading The Martian now and I just adore Andy Weirs humour and writing style.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that feel the same to read as his books?

They do not have to be in the same genre but I am a sucker for a space story.

So far the closest I’ve read to Weir’s books is “Plutoshine” by Lucy Kissick.
“The Last Watch” by J.S. Dewes has cool humorous moments and great dynamic between characters, but it’s a space opera, not a grounded sci-fi story.
Basically anything by Blake Crouch, like “Dark Matter”, have slightly similar vibes although they’re not set in space
“Skyward” by Brandon Sanderson has a special place in my heart, although it’s much more fantastical
