Hi everyone! I'm looking for suggestions as titled, where the main character is framed for something (a crime, something unforgiveable by their family's standards, etc.), and the only person/people on their side is their original enemy. I'm open to enemies to lovers, but it doesn't have to be that. What I'm really looking for is characters to gain new understandings of how "the other side" lives while gaining/giving this help, ideally from both sides, like if the MC discovers that the "villain" has a lot of trustworthy contacts and doesn't have to look over their shoulder all the time like they imagined, and the villain discovers that being famous is not all it's cracked up to be, for instance.
I'm open to many different main themes: crime, fame, romance, etc., but I really want that main storyline to include the main character being framed and having everyone turn against them and only having their enemies to turn to for help.
I really enjoy sci-fi, humans compared to aliens type of things. I can get behind fantasy as long as it's not an epic fantasy with complicated magic systems, maps, etc. I like dragons, vampires, witches, werewolfs, demons and angels, ghosts, magic, etc., but get overwhelmed with too many fantasy world/country/city names and maps. I enjoy horror (horror/romance is a specific interest of mine) and thrillers and mysteries.
