Books where the main characters can’t be together but are soulmates?

I’m sure there are so many, but I’m not super into reading but would love to get more into it! ”Call me by your name” and “Brokeback Mountain” really stuck with me, could anybody recommend me books like those? They don’t have to be lgbtqia+, just leave that same cramp in your heart 😊
