When to Walk Away: Finding Freedom from Toxic People
Book by Gary Thomas
Side note: this is shaped by a Christian worldview. Which I found significant and helpful because I am a Christian and while I knew that I needed this boundary from a narsisitic mom who also struggles with addiction it was still difficult to navigate. It was significant because any boundaries I tried to set were met with hurtful accusations like “that I couldn’t be a Christian and set this boundary” and “I thought you were a Christian”. This book does a great job at explaining how these accusations are false and actually just further manipulations to get what they want.
