I'm looking for a book with a hero and a villain (can be any kind of hero/villain, such as police and criminal or superhero and supervillain, I'm not picky). I'm looking for a book where the villain tries to get better but dies before they can do so, and the hero becomes a villain (preferably over time, not suddenly). I just think it's a really interesting plot, and I'd love to read any story that is like this! Thank y'all!
