    Hi there!

I'm on a quest to get back into reading and off my phone. With a longer holiday coming up it's the perfect occasion to start a new routine.

I have many books I want to read, with the caveat that they're all quite difficult books to get into. So I am looking for book suggestions.

Authors that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading:

    – Paolo Cognetti

    – Sally Rooney

    – Jonas Jonasson

    – Tommy Wieringa (for the Dutchies)

Overall I enjoy the coming of age theme, wholesome books, or books set in nature.

    Thanks a lot!

House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. Magical realism – it’s soooooo good. Such a sweet, heartwarming (and easy to read) book. Coming of age(s) story, and the natural descriptions are amazing.

Open Throat [Henry Hoke] is a quick read, and very good. One of my favorite books I’ve read this past year.

    3. Finally a chance to suggest some Dutch books!

      Sally Rooney vibes, quick read

The twilight garden – Sarah Nisha Adams
      Cosy and nature

Pogingen iets van het leven te maken: Het geheime dagboek van Hendrik Groen 83¼ years ol (This one has an English translation for other people reading along here, The secret diary of Hendrik Groen, 83¼ jaar – Hendrik Groen) Jonas Jonasson vibes

Georgette Heyer, T Kingfisher, Agatha Christie.

And never be ashamed to read middle grade for easy but engaging stories! I love Edith Nesbitt and Frances Hodgson Burnett.
