I’ve started reading for basically the first time (27m dad of two kids never been the reading type ) and I’m trying to figure out what to read next.
( I also listen to audiobooks too )
So far I’ve read:
The Silent Patient
Tell Her Story
The Perfect Marriage
The Silent Patient has probably been my favourite so far because I loved constantly trying to figure everything out and solve what was going on.
Tell Her Story was a bit predictable for me but I still enjoyed it.
The Perfect Marriage had me completely hooked at the start but towards the end it felt really rushed and some parts just didn’t feel realistic enough to me.
One thing I’ve realised I really enjoy is trying to solve the mystery myself. Me, my partner and her friend actually read together and stop at certain chapters to discuss theories and what we think is going to happen which makes it way more fun.
I think I’m looking for thrillers/mysteries with:
good twists
detective/problem solving vibes
books that make you think
addictive pacing
maybe a little bit of spice too
I already have these at home:
Verity
The Perfect Son
Do Not Disturb
The Surrogate
Love Letters to Whisky
Are any of those worth reading next or should I use my Audible credit on something else?
