I just finished listening to all eight of the Unselected Journals of Emma M lion. I loved the narrator and the simplicity of the stories. I am looking for something similar, entertaining and not filled with either deep emotional drama or triggering events, especially sexual assault as I am reading/listening to help cope with anxiety. It does not have to be Victorian, although I do like historical fiction. A series would be great but stand alone books are fine. Not looking for “romance” books, but romance is fine if not the main objective.
