    Hi fellow readers,

I’m going on my birthday trip tomorrow and need the perfect beach read. I want something that feels straight out of the Wattpad era: dramatic, addictive, and impossible to put down. Give me jealousy, possessiveness, tension, misunderstandings, toxic chemistry, all of it 😭

Not necessarily looking for literary masterpieces, just something fun and bingeable that will have me kicking my feet on the beach.

My guilty pleasure (10 years ago) used to be those werewolf stories on the Wattpad where the FMC gets rejected by her Alpha mate because he already has a girlfriend, then she runs away, becomes stronger, joins a new pack, finds her real mate, and somehow has to go back to save her old pack 😭 Then the original Alpha realizes he made a mistake, begs for forgiveness, and finds out she’s moved on with a new mate. Peak entertainment honestly.

Please tell me I wasn’t the only one eating those stories UP πŸ’€ And if you have any books that capture that same chaotic energy, send them my way.

PS: Not looking for werewolf stories anymore, just thought it might be fun to mention and connect with people who used to read those kind of books too.

    1. Ali Hazelwood’s Mate and Bride – those are werewolves (I think…) I haven’t read those books specifically, but her other romance books is sorta “wattpaddy.”

I recently watched the new show Off-Campus and re-read some of the books (by Elle Kennedy) and there are no werewolves (unfortunately) but there is definitely some jealousy, possessiveness and also thinly-veiled misogyny (lol). They are not good – but addictive.

Also, have you read The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare?
