I love history, im near constantly watching videos, reading books about the Roman empire, middle ages, colonialism, all that.
But I realized something pretty recently after stumbling upon a new YouTube channel. I know a whole lot about Western history, but everywhere else my knowledge is fairly sparse, and often relates to western history (colonialism) 1900 onward my knowledge increases quite a lot outside the West.
It's weird, I'm not sure why I never even realized this before now, it's like the majority of content recommended to me is western history and I never even realized it.
So I want to expand that. History in these places before colonialism. I'm interested in anything really, African history, I know hardly anything about so I'd enjoy that, other than places like Egypt and northern Africa . Another one id enjoy would be native American history, especially the Aztecs/Mayans/Incans for example, I know literally nothing about them except for when colonists arrived. Anything in asia would be cool as well, China especially.
Thanks!
