Hello! I’ll be taking some solo trips in September and spending some time alone since my husband will be away on a trip with his family. I’m currently looking for books with enough pages that I can spend around two weeks to a month reading each one. Could anyone give me some recommendations?

The genres I love are crime, mystery, thriller, historical fiction, and non-fiction.
I’m currently thinking about reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck. Thank you!

Definitely read East of Eden! It’s fantastic and deserves the hype it gets.

ETA: For non-fiction I’d recommend the author Erik Larson. He writes narrative non-fiction. Dead Wake was my favorite.

      Since you said historical fiction…

Ok not a popular read but is definitely one of my favorite books – the century trilogy by Ken follet. It’s 3 books that follow the first, second and the Cold War. The first one is called the fall of the giants. The second is winter of the world and the third is called edge of eternity. They are thiiickkk but they are incredible. They follow different families and how they are connected through 3 different generations!! You will not regret it
