First of all, I don’t mean to imply that these books are exclusively for YA or Teens.
I used to be a massive THG fan. Read all the books and watched all the movies on release day. Had a dedicated tumblr account with a large following dedicated to THG. Safe to say, I was obsessed. But this was about 10-12 years ago, during the height of YA. Haven’t watched BOSAS Movie or read the book. And I haven’t read SOTR book either. But I watched the trailer and it looks incredible. Now I’m contemplating reading both books and watching BOSAS before November.
My question is would these books hit the same as an adult, who indulges mostly in non-fiction books, now as they did when I read and watched them as a teen?
These are some of the only fiction books I’m inclined to read given my love of the trilogy. Not to say there’s anything wrong with fiction, it’s just that my interests as I grew up shifted with age.
