Hi everyone, I’m looking for a sci-fi, fantasy or romance book that is written originally in Spanish. I know that I could get a lot of English books in Spanish but sometimes things get lost in translation.
Honorable mention to horror. I’ve already read “tender is the flesh” so please not that one.

Not quite what you’re looking for (fantasy-ish elements/magical realism with romance) but Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón is a Spanish novel. And if you like that, there are three other books that go with it.
Nicholas Sparks has several romance novels in Spanish, he’s one of my favorite authors for that genre.
Check out a Cuban author called YOSS. He has a degree in microbiology, and he writes hilarious science fiction. Look for ‘Super Extra Grande’, ‘Se Alquila un Planeta’ and ‘Condonautas’
Oh, and Las Invenciones de Morel by Adolfo Bioy Casares. Classic weird sci-fi from 1930s Argentina.
