After owning all the books for many years, I’m finally getting around to reading ASOIAF. But over the years, I have heard countless people talk about how GoT, Clash of Kings & Storm of Swords are the only books that feel focused and enjoyable, but Feast for Crows and Dance with Dragons is when GRRM’s tendency to go overboard with the world building and adding more characters/events got out of hand and caused them to become slow, plodding and a slog to get through. How true is this and when I start, is it worth reading up though Dance? Thank you!
