I read somewhere between 100-150 books per year for work (and many more partially 🫠) but not often do I get to grab a book and just enjoy. When I do, Anne Tyler is my favorite. I like the simplicity of her family stories: low concept, all character. I like that I can sit down and read 100 pages at a time, or sneak in 6 pages before turning to another chore.
Any other writers with sensibilities likes Anne’s?
