I’m in a bit of a rough patch and looking for escapism, so I’m caring mostly for the vibe.
Particularly looking for page turners set in a modern, comfortable, luxurious place. Offices, academies, lawyers, labs, engineers, courts – all of that works. Basically I don’t want wilderness, physical action or gore, poverty, sickness, etc.
A cozy read is not necessary, I can work with tension just as long as it isn’t tied to physical struggle. All genres are ok, from (psychological) horror through scifi, dark academia, thrillers…
