So, my cousin (16M) is going to be in prison for a long time. This will be our first christmas without him, and i thought maybe the best idea for a present for him would be some books to fill his time with while he serves his sentence (he loves to read, but i don’t know exactly what genres he’s into). Anyway, i would like to get him some that he’ll find fun, but i also want to get him some that are generally considered to be “essential” reads for everyone, like classics and such, or even better, books that make you feel very strong emotions or will change his mindset & perspective to be a better person when he gets out. If anyone has any suggestions like that, i would love to hear them (and also why they mean so much to you!)
