Cliché, I know. But I’m looking for the sort of book where the main character is “The Chosen One”, whether that be as a warrior, king, wizard, etc. I have already read Harry Potter, so I am looking for something more ‘mature’, perhaps even darker and focused on political intrigues and complex characters.
Even if “The Chosen One” trope is, perhaps, overdone, I’m sure there must be some novel/series where it has been very well done. Any suggestions?
