Lately I have been loving Emma Cline. I just read *The Girls*, which I loved for the sun-drenched, languid SoCal setting, and for Cline’s incisive prose. I also enjoyed Lydia Davis’s *The End of the Story*, another very California book. I don’t know any other writers who write about SoCal, so I would love your recs!
I am mainly into literary fiction and coming-of-age, the occasional thriller. Not into sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian.
