Hellooo everyone. I’m making my way through the last of this book, and wanted to see what other people have thought about it!
Having just finished Moby-Dick not too long ago, it’s been interesting reading 2 sea-themed books to see how the authors handle it differently.
I also think it’s of interest that this book was published 2 years after Les Miserables. Personally, I think the characters of Valjean and Gilliatt are quite similar (shhhhh), but who cares, I love both haha!
