Hi, I’m looking for books where the characters have superpowers. I’ve recently been watching My Hero Academia (a Japanese anime) about students who have superpowers and they go to an academy where they learn to be the best, fight villains, etc. Everybody has a sort of power, it just depends on how strong it is. The main character originally didn’t have a power/had a super weak power but then was gifted a super strong power and, yeah, became amazing lol.
Anyway, I’m looking for books kind of like that. The only book I’ve read that was set in a similar world was Renegades by Marissa Meyer, which was pretty good (but I didn’t finish the trilogy, I don’t remember why lol).
Bonus points for if the main character originally has a super weak power or something and somehow becomes super strong haha. Thanks!!
Edit: Romance is not a must but would be nice somewhere along the line. Preferably, the characters go through some sort of training/school.
