Hi all and happy New Years (Eve)! My friend and I just finished reading Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. We enjoyed most of it, but not quite the ending. We felt like there was so much build up to this crazy, twisted ending, but found it lackluster, especially with the sci-fi tag it has. I’m not trying to debate the ending in this post. I am, however, asking if anyone has any recommendations for a book like NLMG that builds something up, but that has a darker/twisted/creepy ending. We’re happy with most genres, but she really likes sci-fi. Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated!
