I love stories like that in the video games Dante’s inferno, doom, and amnesia, but I have a preference for female leads/female casts. Are there any books with female protagonists that contain themes of divine punishment, human condition, as well as lovecraftian/gothic themes, descents into madness, etc. Genre doesn’t matter, thank you!!
