Hello! A bit of back story, I read the book (it may have been a part of a series) roughly 20 years ago when I was around 13 and I have searched for the name ever since.
I only remember bits and pieces of the plot but I will share what I know below.
More than likely the author is British as I was attending a British expat school at the time. I believe it would fall into the young adult fantasy book genre. It was set during WWII and some of the themes involved crows (perhaps tied to the evil magical antagonist), the King Arthur legend, magical elements, I believe the central location was like a collector of rare items store and an American bomber pilot (or crew member) who’s bomber jacket gets made into a teddy bear which comes to life near the of the book after the American dies. Part of the plot involves him falling in love with a young British woman and is faced with saving himself and staying alive to be with her or sacrificing himself to stop the evil element in the book.
I believe the main characters were youngish teenagers.
Any help with the name would be greatly appreciated! I’ll try to remember more and add to this post.
