He has a very specific style imo I’d call it something like cheeky technocrat or something
I finished Seveneves a bit ago, dodo after that and now into termination shock after a few other books in between and coming back to his style it’s just so familiar
You can tell he’s done ungodly amounts of research into the minutia of things whether it’s slingshot satelites and bolides or Indian wrestling and levee management. I really enjoy that level of detail as a fan of tech engineering etc it’s great to hear him explain it in depth so well in such a realistic way.
Then of course there’s humor and edge mixed all throughout with the characters and the worlds and the way he describes them.
