A friend of mine picked up a copy of 48 Laws of Power and is reading it. We both sort of agreed it’s suited for either extremely insecure and impressionable people, sociopaths, or as a guide to watch out for the former. Still, the tenets in the book itself seem unsettling to me and I feel like she’s absorbing the book more as a prescriptive guide rather than a descriptive part of human behaviour.

I’m interested in anything that describe the opposite(ish) or mellows out the contents of what 48 Laws contains. That has an approximate delivery but opposite message. Not submissiveness or meekness, but using kindness and empathy (etc.), to achieve things. Weird ask and maybe just non-existent but I’m curious regardless.
I’ve found some stuff like:
*Leaders Eat Last*
*Give and Take*
*The Power of Kindness*
But that’s about it. Thoughts? Any recommendations from this sub? Thanks.
