My 11 year old daughter loves to read and gets upset when she finishes a series she really likes so I’m trying to find more books based on her taste. We started off by reading the Harry Potter series together (She liked the earlier books more than the later ones most likely cause she was 6-7 at the time and related more to the younger versions of the characters). Then she read All of the Percy Jackson books, The Hunger Games (including the newest prequel one), and is now about to finish The Mazerunner. Based on those books what other ones would you recommend I introduce to her?

I 100% recommend the Mistborn series by Sanderson. I think your daughter would enjoy the story and the world.

    2. wings of fire and warrior cats! not as ya as hunger games, but very similar to percy and harry potter! and to be fair, there both long series!

The Kane Chronicles is written by the same guy who wrote Percy Jackson
I really enjoyed The Land of Stories when I was that age, and I think that has around 5 books now
Dorothy Must Die is a little intense, but not much more than The Hunger Games imo
There are also countless Nancy Drew books that would keep anyone busy for a bit

Tamora Pierce Tamora Pierce Tamora Pierce! Start in with Alanna: the first adventure. There are five series set I. Her medieval “Tortall” setting, and another words she has with a different world set up, but I prefer her tortall books. Alanna is her first and it’s about a girl who wants to become a knight so she disguises herself as a boy since girls are not allowed.

    6. The Michael Vey series by Richard Paul Evans. The ninth was released a few months ago. The author has had many New York times #1 bestsellers.

The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan were my favourite series when I was 11! Also sparked an interest for greek mythology through that!

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman
Anne (Anne of Green Gables etc) by L. M. Montgomery
      The Spiderwick Chronicles
      Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
not a series but I recommend anything by Jacqueline Wilson

The Menagerie Series by Tui T Sutherland and The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C Wrede

    11. The Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer: the story really isn’t similar to Harry Potter but the world building has the same level of detail and weirdness.

The Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy: funny, original and they were some of my favourite books when they came out. The series does get darker as the main character gets older, so you might want to skim through a few of the later books to see if they’re ok for your daughter to read.
