I’m putting together a care package for a very intelligent young woman whose father just passed away. I have The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion and Notes on Grief by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie so far. I was going to throw in The House in the Cerulean Sea for some easy, happy escapism.
Anyone have suggestions for books that helped them survive grief?
Books that tackle the issue directly and books that are a light-hearted distraction are both welcome.
