For example, my favorite series is the Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir, and my least favorite thing about it is that she overuses memes. I know a lot of people love that she incorporates memes into the story, but I feel like a lot of them aren’t believable things for the characters to be saying in the moment. It really pulls me out of the universe when a character says something nonsensical, just to reference a meme.

My favourite series is LOTR (if you can even call it a series). My least favourite thing about it is the fact that an entire country had been waiting for 1500 years for their rightful king. It’s like Cleopatra’s descendants claiming leadership over Egypt.
