I’m mostly looking for non-fiction, but I’m open to fiction.
The only thing on my reading list that remotely jumps into mind is Walden by Henry David Thoreau.
This can also be essays, biographies, etc… any form of story or written document about people who lived outside of society (as a recluse, so to speak) whether for a brief period of time or for the entirety of their lives.
Why? Because I’m considering doing the same, even if not to an extreme degree etc. Therefore I’m also looking for stories that are varying in an ‘outsider’ sense, and have varying lengths. This could also be people who merely tested it out.
Open to books both old and new. Thank you!
