Novels about feeling guilty of being depressed when they are people who are, at least supposedly, much more unfortunate?

To be more specific, I wonder if there’s a bokk about a main character from an ordinary background (whatever that means) having a moral dilemma about whether it is okay to be sad, hurt, depressed when there are people out there who are in much more sure circumstances, like poverty or homelessness. I think the plot would feel much more natural if those people are present around the main character.
