Hey, I want to read a good lesbian romance. If it’s like a fantasy setting, that’s a plus. My request is a bit specific. Sorry if it’s not allowed, but the thing is the book cover and summary should not mention/show that it’s a romance between two female characters. Without opening the book, others shouldn’t be able to find out that it’s a lesbian romance. Like, it shouldn’t have characters kissing/hugging/or anything similar.

I’m really sorry if this isn’t allowed, but I live in a country where it’s not that acceptable. No one in my family actually reads the books I buy and read, but sometimes they do occasionally check out the cover/summary behind the book just out of curiosity. I’d love if you could suggest something. Thankfully, my family wouldn’t really be angry or anything if they find out, but they will definitely ban me from buying these books again, so please if you can suggest something, I’ll be very grateful!

I recently read A house in the cerulean sea and under the whispering door. Both had gay characters but the cover and summary didn’t mention anything. I’m looking for something like that. Thank you in advance!

    1. Fingersmith by sarah waters if I’m not mistaken the covers are either a key or a pair of gloves and the description doesn’t mention anything sapphic

Sci-fi setting and not quite a full-on romance novel, but *A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet* by Becky Chambers has a lesbian romance subplot (human/alien) and I don’t think any book summary would highlight that aspect since it’s not the main plot thread. The summaries I’m looking at are focused on the found family adventure aspect

However, the Goodreads page *does* tag it as LGBT and Queer, so it depends on how deep you think they’d dig to see that

Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree is a cozy fantasy book similar to The House in the Cerulean Sea.

A sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea is coming out later this year.

i just finished consort of fire by kit rocha – it is a fantasy setting but it’s FFM. the women have their own relationship outside the relationship with the male. the cover is just flame i think.
