When I was in fourth or fifth grade, my grandmother surprised me with a copy of “Crystal of the Dragons” by Jaclyn Donnelly. Not only was the author about my age, probably slightly older, when she wrote it, but she also wrote a little message on the inside of the cover. While I don’t remember what it says verbatim, the main message was to never stop dreaming and reading. It’s been almost 20 years since those words first brought a smile upon my face, and I can say that I never stopped reading. So, thank you Ms. Donnelly. Thank you for inspiring me to never stop reading and dreaming.
