Hi, I don’t remember the title of a book I read several years ago, I also tried asking for help on gpt chat but nothing. Some things I remember:
\- The book is part of a series of books
\- The author is French or Belgian, the book must have been published maximum 8-9 years ago
\- The story is based on guys (apprentice type) with magic
\- One of the boys betrays them
\- An important character is a woman wearing a cowboy hat and is represented with a playing card in her hand. I remember that at a certain point in the story she enters the protagonist’s house (perhaps from a window?) This woman is probably also depicted on the cover of the first book
\-The cover of the first book also features a red drawn frame within which there is a character
\- Subsequent covers have the same frame but colored differently, blue or purple.
