I’ve read through plenty of threads on this topic on reddit, but the suggestions tend to be about throuples with two men, or kinky romance novels, or hard fantasy/sci-fi YA. Not really my thing.
I’m looking for a book that is about a throuple/triad/whatever you want to call it. Ideally, it’s a couple that’s a man and a woman, and another woman joins the dynamic. It can be a romance book or have sex, but I don’t want the book’s primary focus to be titillation. I don’t mind light genre elements, but I want it to be mostly realist. Or, at a minimum, a story for adults where the genre elements aren’t the main focus.
An example of a book that I love that has done this is Nina Lacour’s *Watch Over Me*. It’s a YA novel with some ghost story elements, but the throuple stuff is emotionally intimate in a way I really like. It also has the exact relationship dynamic I’m describing.
Thank you for any suggestions. 🙂
