looking for books set in an ‘idyllic’ 1950s suburbia setting (preferably domestic thriller but open to any genre)
Looking for books with that traditional 1950s, nuclear family vibe! I tend to prefer thrillers / domestic thrillers but i am open to any genre as long as it really fits the vibe and aesthetic.

The Longest Night by Andria Williams. Young mother on an army base in 1959. Husband oversees a nuclear reactor that has a looot of issues. It’s a fantastic story about marriage and loneliness and trust. Based on real events about a faulty nuclear reactor in Idaho. It was never a super popular bestseller (which surprised me honestly), very under the radar, but everyone I’ve ever recommended it to loved it.
